Amie Brooke Nelson, MSOM, Lic. Ac.
Amie Nelson is a mother, chef and chauffer to two young daughters. She also has an acupuncture and herbal medicine practice specializing in women and pediatrics, and is an active volunteer in her local community. As a busy mom, she lives and breathes the daily challenge of spending quality time with family, creating time for personal interests, and figuring out what to make for dinner!
Prior to motherhood, Amie worked in public affairs for several national agencies in California. Her published writing and research spanned environmental issues, women’s health and public school reform. She also ran several state and local events and media for campaigns such as California¹s anti-smoking initiative.
An avid photographer with a lifelong wonderlust, Amie has traveled to five continents and over forty countries, answering her passion for meeting and documenting people from different cultures. She recently lived in Europe and continues to travel abroad with her husband and daughters. Amie and her family live in the mountains of Colorado, where they enjoy sports, sunshine and the outdoors.
